Check Beaver County Arrests

To look up Beaver County arrest records, begin with the official recent-booking list and then choose the office that created the record you need. The jail documents intake and custody. The arresting agency keeps its incident narrative, while the court records charges that a prosecutor actually files. A Beaver County arrest history can therefore require more than one check. The public booking view is brief and recent, but phone confirmation, a records request, court dockets, and subject-only state history access fill different gaps. Each source answers a distinct question, and none turns an arrest into proof of guilt.

Arrest History in Beaver County

Beaver County arrest records may start with a sheriff's deputy, a Beaver City public-safety officer, a Utah Highway Patrol trooper, a wildlife officer, or another agency with authority. The report stays with the agency whose officer created it. If the person is taken to the county jail, the Beaver County Correctional Facility creates a second record for booking, fingerprints, property, screening, preliminary charges, and release status. A judge, prosecutor, court clerk, and Utah BCI can then create related records as the matter moves on.

The Beaver County Sheriff's Office page introduces the county law-enforcement and jail channels.

The facility holds people awaiting trial, serving county terms, awaiting transfer, or held under agency contracts, so custody status can change even while the arrest record remains.

Beaver County 30-Day Booking Portal

Beaver Recent Bookings is a rolling official view of arrests during the prior 30 days. It is a continuously rendered list, not a full archive. Direct review found no search field, filter, sort, export, login, or booking-number input. Entries can show a name, city and state, an undefined “Number,” arrest time and date, arresting agency, custody state, preliminary charge, crime-class abbreviation, statute, and court.

The county booking screen also carries the preliminary-charge and innocence notices that should guide any Beaver County arrest lookup.

The screen is useful for a new event, but an entry can disappear after release, transfer, or the end of the 30-day window. That does not mean the arrest never occurred.

Note: A Beaver County booking charge is preliminary and may later be declined, amended, divided into several counts, or dismissed.

How to Look Up Beaver County Arrests

No single Beaver County arrest search covers the booking, agency report, filed case, current custody, and statewide fingerprint history. Use the chain below in order, then stop when the official record answers the question.

  1. Check Recent Bookings for an event within 30 days. Save the arrest date, agency, reference shown, charge text, and court.
  2. Call Beaver County Corrections at 435-438-6497 or use the official VINELink route named in the county sheriff and corrections FAQ to confirm current custody. The jail can explain release or transfer status.
  3. Search Utah Xchange for charges actually filed. Check Fifth District and the appropriate justice court, allowing for a delay after booking.
  4. Request the report from its creator. For sheriff or Beaver County jail material, call Records at 435-438-2467 or submit the online GRAMA form. If a state agency made the arrest, use that agency's process because Utah Highway Patrol narratives belong with Utah DPS.
  5. For your own fingerprint-supported Utah history, use BCI Right of Access or call Beaver County Sheriff's Office about local subject access. BCI is not an unrestricted public name search.

Beaver County Arrest GRAMA Requests

The sheriff's online form makes a key distinction: request a Police Report for the law-enforcement narrative or Jail Records for intake and custody material. Choose the record that answers the question. The form requires requester contact and address details, a description, electronic signature, date, and fee acknowledgment. A case or incident number is not marked as required, but including it can cut search time and redaction work. The separate BCI GRAMA form does not replace the sheriff request or the application for one's own criminal history.

The official Beaver County GRAMA form shows the Police Report and Jail Records choices.

Its description field should state the subjects, location, date, nature of the event, and requested parts rather than ask for every record held by the office.

What an Arrest Record Shows

A Beaver County booking entry captures intake facts, not the final result of a criminal case. The live recent list labels some fields in ways that require care. “Number” appears without a public definition, so do not rename it a booking number without confirmation. The entry can identify the arresting agency and preliminary charges, but it does not display a full narrative, date of birth, physical description, bond, warrant number, housing pod, next court date, release date, sentence, or medical flags.

Name and locationName in last-first-middle order plus city and state when shown.
NumberA reference labeled “Number”; the county screen does not define it as a booking number.
Arrest timeTime and date of the intake event.
Arresting agencyThe agency tied to the arrest or booking entry.
Custody stateA status such as in custody when displayed.
ChargesPreliminary charge text, crime-class abbreviation, statute, and court when entered.
Booking photoNot displayed on Beaver County Recent Bookings under HB 228.

Agency photographs may still be retained even though they are not posted. Juvenile arrest records are confidential and do not appear on the adult booking page.

Why Beaver County Booking Photos Are Missing

Beaver County says it removed mugshot images from Recent Bookings to comply with Utah HB 228. A blank or absent photo is therefore not a broken search, and it does not prove that the jail never took an intake photograph. The law affects public display. The agency may retain a photograph as part of booking, subject to Utah access and dissemination rules.

The practical search value lies in the date, arresting agency, preliminary charge, court, and custody state. Those fields help route the next call. For an incident narrative, ask the arresting agency. For filed charges, read the court docket. For current custody, call Corrections. Republishing booking images or turning the list into a gallery would strip away those distinctions and ignore the county's stated policy.

During Beaver County booking, staff also confirm identity, inventory property, conduct medical and safety screening, capture fingerprints, enter the charge or warrant, classify custody, and record release or bond status. Fingerprints and arrest data sent through Utah's criminal-justice network can create or update a BCI identity cycle. The court or reporting agency later sends dispositions back. A delay, rejected print submission, identifier mismatch, or late disposition can make the Beaver County jail, court, and BCI views differ for a time.

Recent Arrests and Booking Logs

A recent booking is a snapshot. It can confirm that intake occurred and show the charge then associated with custody, but it cannot establish what the prosecutor filed or what a judge decided. Beaver County's 30-day window also makes it unsuitable as a long-term arrest archive. When an entry ages off, request jail records under GRAMA. When a person leaves the jail, use Corrections or VINELink to learn whether the change reflects release or transfer.

Custody services are separate from the arrest narrative. The county publishes instructions for trust deposits and jail communication because a family may need those services while a case is pending. The official inmate money page shows Beaver County's JailATM and mail routes.

That service page helps confirm the county facility involved, but a payment account is not an arrest-record search and should not substitute for custody verification.

After a Beaver County Jail Transfer

A Beaver County name may vanish from the local list because the person was released, moved to another holding site, transferred after sentencing, or simply aged beyond the rolling window. Call Corrections at 435-438-6497 first. For a sentenced person who entered state custody, move to Utah Department of Corrections Offender Search. County pretrial detention and state imprisonment are different record systems.

The official UDC search page provides the state-prison locator used after a Beaver County transfer.

The UDC result should be read with the Beaver County booking and the criminal court case record, since each records a different stage.

Arrests vs Convictions

An arrest record says that an agency took a person into custody or completed an arrest process. A conviction is a court judgment based on a guilty plea, verdict, or comparable adjudication. Beaver County jail staff create the booking record, while the clerk records the filed charge and outcome. Utah BCI may later connect fingerprint-supported arrest cycles with reported dispositions, but timing and matching issues can make the sources disagree.

Beaver County Arrest Record Costs

The current sheriff fee schedule rewards a focused request. Beaver County publishes a $20 GRAMA base or search listing, plus mileage where applicable. A black-and-white case report costs $10.50 for pages one through five, followed by $0.10 per added page. Color copies are $1 per page. Audio or video interviews, dash or body-camera media, dispatch calls, and photo media each cost $25 per file. Redaction labor starts at $30 per hour.

Ask for the report narrative, supplements, event chronology, dispatch audio, photographs, or camera media by name. The form publishes no fixed turnaround and makes no promise of fax or email intake. If access is denied, request the record classification and legal basis in writing. Beaver County created a three-member GRAMA Appeals Board in 2025 for county record disputes.
